Effects of Intensive Training on Cardiorespiratory Response to Maximum Exercise in Competetive Boxing Players


Abstract
The study subjects were consisted of 12 female boxing players with mean age and career of 15.9 and 4.7 years respectively and 12 matched non Boxing players served as controls. The in tensive training given to the boxing player was 4 hours of boxing of the in distauve daily 7 day a week for 7?9 weeks comparisons of various pretraining date of the boxing player at maximum exercise with those of controls revealed that in the boxing V02 max 02 pulse AT and VE were significantly greater and HR max HE/V02 and RER were significantly lower than those in the controls, where as although VC and MVV were significantly in creased in Boxings RR, PET O2, PET CO2 and VP/VT as well as VT/VC and VF/MVV at maximum exercise showed no difference between two group comparisons of pre and post training date in the boxings showed that significant changes were limited to decrease in HR max and RER with only slight insignificant increase in V02 max and 02 pulse.
